Baragwi is a peaberry coffee from the Baragwi Farmers Cooperative in Kirinyaga County, Kenya near the base of Mount Kenya. Coffees coming from the Kirinyaga area are known year after year for their high quality and fruity cup. The Baragwi Farmers Cooperative is a large group of 12 locations and 16,000 members in total! Due to the continuously high quality of coffees produced in the region, the farmers are able to receive higher compensation for their product and are largely considered middle class in Kenya.
